Chivi has the highest prevalence of income poverty. Many children have thus dropped out of school as they lack inspiration, mentorship and exposure.
They have either sought menial work, crossed the border illegally or in the case of the girl child opted to get married at an early age.
The Kurudzira project of profiling successful people involves conducting interviews with them or doing some online research then sharing their success stories on our social media platforms. Majority of these stories are of Zimbabweans who faced struggles and triumphed to get to where they are today. These stories are meant to awaken new possibilities within young people of Chivi to transcend their ordinary experiences and limitations.
Objectives
- To share profiles of different professionals who have been distinctively successful in their various fields.
- To inspire young Zimbabweans so that they can realise their full potential by exposing them to different experiences/ career options.
