Who We Are
Tugwi Trust was established to continue the philanthropic work that had been started by the late Mr. Ignatius Midzi and Mrs. Euphrasia Midzi. The Trust envisions a Zimbabwe where children realise their full potential and contribute to the development of their communities. As its contribution to the realisation of the vision, Tugwi Trust creates platforms that enable underprivileged children to access services such as education, entrepreneurial skills, wellness, leadership development and active involvement in community development activities.

Our Board Members
Nomathemba Halimana
Nomathemba (Noma) Halimana (nee Phiri) is a results-driven, award-winning Business Management Executive, with extensive experience in strategy development and business planning focusing on business operations, product management, organizational development, financial management, business development and team building within the beverage industry. Noma worked for The Coca-Cola Company from 2003 to 2019 in various roles of increased responsibility in Franchise Leadership, Customer & Commercial as well as Stills Execution in Kenya & Zimbabwe.
A graduate from The University of Zimbabwe with an Honors degree in Economics, with an MBA from Natal University, South Africa, Noma has extensive experience in general management within the beverage industry. She is also an exceptional relationship builder and negotiator, successfully presenting and selling strategic business plans and programs to executive-level decision makers, and collaborates with senior stakeholders to effectively prioritize activities and achieve defined objectives. Noma is passionate about Women Development and has led initiatives to empower female Coca-Cola System Associates via the Zimbabwe Women’s Linc Chapter.
Loughty Dube
Loughty Dube is currently the Executive Director at the Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ), a media self-regulation body operating in Zimbabwe. He has vast experience in the NGO world having served several boards in Zimbabwe and in the region. He is the past Board Chairperson for Transparent International Zimbabwe (TIZ) having served the organization for close to 12 years, starting off as a committee member, deputy chairperson of the Board and later Chairperson of the Board. He was also Board Chairperson of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA Zimbabwe) and served as board committee member, deputy chairperson from 2005 to 2012. In 2013 he was nominated as a MISA Board of Trustee at SADC level, an organization serving the interests of 11 countries where the MISA chapters operate from. Currently, he also sits on the Board of the World Association of Press Councils (WAPC) where he is the Secretary General.
Loughty’s skills at Board level are varied and include fund raising skills, corporate governance expertise in policy formulation, policy implementation, financial management, labour laws, communication strategy development and implementation, providing oversight role over the secretariat, programme monitoring and evaluation skills and strategy implementation among other various board functions.
His interest in being part of a Board that caters for children emanates from his original preferences to work and be around children that culminated in me training as a school teacher and subsequently teaching at secondary school in the early 90s.
Kudzai Midzi
Kudzai Midzi is a co-founding Trustee of Tugwi Trust. Kudzai is the Managing Consultant of KFM Consultant which he founded in 2000. In his work with KFM Consultants Kudzai is passionate about seeing organisations improve how they manage their funds so as to have in place sound sustainable financial management systems that would increase their effectiveness and impact in the societies, they work in. Kudzai sits on a number of boards including the global association EMPACTA, Zimbabwe Human Rights N.G.O Forum and the Zimbabwe Squash Academy.
Rangarirai Midzi
Ranga Midzi is a co-founding Trustee of Tugwi Trust. He is a practicing Banker with an international bank. He has over 25 years’ experience in banking, Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) consulting and development banking. He was an active member of a private voluntary organisation called Junior Chamber International in which he held several positions such from local President of the City Chapter to various National Positions. From his experiences within JCI, Ranga believes that service to humanity is the best work of life. Ranga is a life member of the National organisation and continues to volunteer his services albeit as an alumnus. As a certified local trainer with JCI University, Ranga continues to offer his services whenever needed.
Ekenia T Chifamba
Ekenia T. Chifamba is a girls` rights activist, Anti-Domestic Violence Council Member, Spot Light Initiative Civil Society Reference Group member and Civicus Alliance Membership Advisory Group Member.She is a Trustee for SAAPA Zimbabwe. Ekenia is the Vice-Secretary for NANGO Northern Region. She is also a motivational speaker, World`s Children`s Prize Foundation Focal Point in Zimbabwe, Fredrica Nauman Fellow, IVLP Fellow (USA), Philanthropist and also the Founding Director of Shamwari Yemwanasikana. The heart of the organisation is to address the concerns of the girl child and protect her from all issues that have the potential to destroy her dreams hopes and full development.
She has worked for several years as a girl child advocate, steering girl child empowerment programmes at a well renowned Girls Rights organisation. Apart from being a champion of girls and women’s rights, she is a qualified and experienced administrator and banker who worked for several years at ZB Bank.
Academically, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resources with Zimbabwe Open University, a higher National Diploma in Information Technology with DEXPAC Academy Southern Africa, a National diploma in Human Resources management with Harare Polytechnic and a Diploma in Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe. She also acquired a diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation, Gender Equality with special focus on Girls Rights and Sex Trade with the Worlds Children’s Prize Foundation in Sweden in 2015 and a Diploma in NGO Management 1 with Meridian International. She was also awarded a Diploma in Social Work by ALT Foundation and she holds several certificates in Advocacy, Leadership Governance, Fundraising and Counselling.
Lucy Dlodlo
Lucy Dlodlo is currently the Managing Consultant of Vital Recycling, a consulting firm, specialising in Sustainability.She is a former Corporate Social Investment, Sponsorships and Events Manager, specialising in CSR/CSI for Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe a member of Standard Bank South Africa; she also served in the CSuite as Executive Assistant to the Country’s Chief Executive for 10 years. She holds a Diploma in Marketing and in Public Relations from IACSA, certificates in the following: Business Sustainability Management from the University of Cambridge, Advanced Project Management, and Executive Support from the University of Cape Town, Certification in SAP Financial Accounting and SAP Materials Management.
Lucy is passionate about the welfare of children, eradication of poverty, and the well-being of the girlchild. She has been involved in a number of initiatives aimed at empowering and supporting the girl child and children with albinism.
Dr Rampal Mxolisi Sillah
Dr Rampal Mxolisi Sillah is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience in academia, research, and consultancy. He holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies, and has 13 years’ experience as a lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at Midlands State University (MSU). In his capacity as the Coordinator of Development Studies programmes at MSU’s Harare Campus, Dr Sillah played a pivotal role in curriculum development, aligning programs with the Education 5.0 policy, and establishing partnerships with NGOs to enhance educational and community impact. He is also well published with 13 publications to his name. His niche academic areas include Non-Profit Management, Disaster Risk Management, Development Theory and Corporate Governance for the Non-Profit sector. Beyond academia, Dr Sillah also exudes an extensive development consulting portfolio, as he has been a consultant for organisations like Transparency International Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Environmental Lawyers Association, and Green Governance Zimbabwe Trust, Practical Action, Youth Empowerment and Transformation Trust, Zimbabwe Coalition for Debt and Development, Democracy Worldwide Foundation, Welthungerhilfe and many more. His expertise extends to disaster risk reduction, gender mainstreaming, and social accountability monitoring. Beyond his consulting work, Dr Sillah is a seasoned career coach and has served on several NGO boards, including the Centre for Conflict Management and Transformation. His commitment to development and youth empowerment is evident in his various consulting portfolios and publications.
Moyra Kwaramba
Moyra Kwaramba has 13 years’ experience holding technical, advisory and management positions in Non-Governmental Organisation, She spent 5 of these years holding international positions in Somalia, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Turkey, and Sudan respectively. Prior to this, Moyra worked in the Financial Services sector at the Agricultural Finance Corporation and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe respectively. Moyra has a good understanding of cash and voucher programming, livelihoods, agriculture, water sanitation, health, financial inclusion, and protection programming. Strong coordination capabilities having managed 2 Consortiums and represented organisations worked for at Local, Regional and Global fora. Possesses HEAT and HEIST Hardship areas, security training. Moyra also has CALP 1, CALP 2 and CVP Certified has a certificate in PMD Pro (a Project Management qualification). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Masters in business administration and a Master of Arts in Disaster Risk Management respectively.
