The learner is the fourth-born in a family of eight children. The first three siblings share the same father, while Angel has a different father, and the mother later remarried and had four more children. Angel currently stays with her maternal uncle, who is divorced and has one child in Grade 5. The uncle is unemployed and relies on occasional piece jobs such as well digging. The learner’s mother resides in Gokwe with her husband.
